On September 28th, “Next Definition of Future Life -- 2021 KWG Habitat Aesthetics Conference” was held in W Hotel Chengdu. With the courage and foresight to think about change, KWG takes “Next Definition of future life” as its thinking proposition, breaking the fixed rules of traditional press conference, strategic announcement and commercial project linkage. Always deconstructing the meaning of “residence” and “design”, it is the real “product capabilities” conference in the industry.
It’s worth noting that in order to inject inspiration and motivation into product design and construction, in addition to constantly improving the ability of the internal team to focus on product capabilities, KWG also carefully selected more than 100 domestic and international top masters to create a strong master library. Integrate into the forefront of the industry design concept, just like creating art, to achieve high-quality development of product capabilities.
At today’s event, there are links between Kosaka Knox, Kirlin Okashita seung-mi, Kobayashi Masahiko, Li Wei, Tan Weilin and many other Chinese and foreign design masters to jointly “support”, what are their different interpretations of KWG’s habitats aesthetics”?
Home is not a living space without vitality. It is a place for people to spend family time, but also a place for people to really release themselves. In terms of interior space design, KWG redefined interior space aesthetics from the perspective of interior living scenes, user experience and angle of use based on 152 life scenes research, and created 5.0 life aesthetics.
Through the video, Master Kosaka Knox and the conference guests talk about the beauty of design: “I feel like everything is connected: the space we design, the three-dimensional space, the space around people. Or that the space will increasingly extend to society or the city. This is the connection between people and nature and cities. It’s going to be important that we create the right space for our space, for people, for society, for nature, for architecture.”
Taking the design details of Japanese space poetics as an example, Kosaka Knox pays attention to the expression of space emotion and pursues elegance in quiet space. Through the creation of rhythm, the space is interpreted into a distinctive artistic atmosphere, creating many benchmark products with Japanese space poetics temperament for KWG.
Koichiro Ikeguchi talked about the sense of belonging in a house. “I think the connection with belonging, like humanity, is very important for design, because the house is about integrating people into the building, writing, escaping, settling down. Each element complements each other, each element can be very different in design, and design is one of the keys to changing the value of our lives. I believe that being at home has become even more important to people after covid-19, and it will be even more important to people’s lives in the future.”
Li wei said: “I think the design should respond to the relationship between the city and then the relationship between nature. It is very friendly to the city and the environment and it is complementary to each other. In fact, on this basis, the design should make contributions to the city and face the future. Finally, the whole design process should be focused on people, no matter in terms of scale, approachable scale, atmosphere creation, sensory experience and spiritual level.”
In the aspect of natural aesthetics, KWG emphasizes the concept of “garden is a multidimensional art”, and puts forward “three garden models” from the distance between the city energy level and the core of work and life -- culture and tourism exurb type, urban exurb type and urban core type. In terms of style, Japanese garden, modern art garden and Singapore garden are proposed to create a natural quiet beauty, farming, fishing and pastoral lifestyle.
Designed by Kirlin Okashita seung-mi, winner of the “Presidential Design Award” from Singapore’s CKOA Landscape Design firm, Chongqing KWG丨THE RIVIERA skillfully combines the artistic conception of “Peach Blossom Land” with the Japanese aesthetics of wabi-sabi to create an urban zen garden with rare liberation monument. At the scene, he said in a video:
“ The original intention of the landscape architect was to reduce interference from the outside. So in an ideal world, many outside distractions would be silenced by careful design. The designer then has the opportunity to capture the viewer’s attention by creating a landscape environment. I think it resonates with people and slows them down because the world is moving so fast.”

Kobayashi shared his perception of natural aesthetics, “For people living in an urban enviornment, natural elements are indispensable. Because people themselves are part of biology and also part of nature, which is the starting point of design. For design, especially in landscape design, I think our job is to create a comfortable relationship between city, nature and human, and balance the ideal environmental space. Every era is creating future design, and I think this idea will not change in the future. In the future, design and living will also lead to the relationship between human life. The design of every place in the future should be more colorful and diversified, so as to create a rich and diverse living environment.”
KWG collaborates with international masters to create landscape architecture, dedicated to forging every detail and carving every inch of space. For the bustling city life added a few minutes of quiet and peaceful for the new middle class customers who understand aesthetics and good quality to present a high-end quality living. It confirms the enterprise idea of “building home with heart” of KWG.
With the experience and advantages accumulated in the coordinated development of diversified industries and the operation of innovative cities, KWG invites international masters to integrate the international advanced design concepts and build a full business chain. From residential products, commercial operations, hotel management and other fields to create well-known, brand IP, further tap the potential value.
Tan Weilin said: “ Back in time, the culture of our country can be reflected in the architecture. Now there are many cultural factors in the creation, which is the inheritance of traditional culture. When I say traditional culture, I mean the traditional culture of China, but also the absorption of Western culture and technology, so that our architecture is more and more colorful, more and more organic with everyone.”

Nelson N, principal of Sometrix Hong Kong which collaborated on the lighting design of the W Hotel in Chengdu, said during a discussion on the relationship between light and space : “ Now, lighting plays a very important role in daily life, and the quality of light does affect human behavior. Good lighting creates a suitable lighting environment for work, thus improving work efficiency. Good lighting design also creates a comfortable atmosphere for nature and, most importantly, is to respond to changes in the nature and type of human activity by controlling changes in lighting.”
